Birth trauma support is available to help work through the complex emotions and grief that may follow a difficult or traumatic birth experience and help you begin to make sense of what you have been through.

Birth trauma is so personal. Trauma to one woman will be very different to trauma to another. Feeling alone, frightened, disconnected, sad or isolated during a birth can result in feelings of trauma. A birth which did not go the way you expected it to can result in feelings of trauma. A birthing person can feel overwhelmed, distressed or confused by any number of things that may have occurred during the labour and birth and all of these are valid. Feelings of disappointment, anger, shame or grief can result and having a safe space to talk through these feelings can be extremely helpful.
